Participant work, Photofusion, 2019
Autography is a photography and wellbeing programme for autistic adults developed by Anna Farley and delivered through Photofusion. Working alongside Anna Farley, artists, mentors and ASC specialists, I co-delivered the programme and led practical photography workshops that supported participants in developing creative confidence, technical skills and participant-led photographic projects.
The programme combined photography, discussion and creative experimentation within an accessible and non-judgemental environment. Participants were encouraged to develop work informed by their own experiences and perspectives while building confidence through image-making and peer support. Workshops were adapted to support a range of learning and communication needs, recognising the diverse ways individuals engage with creative practice.
Through photography, the project offered opportunities for self-expression, collaborative learning and artistic development. The resulting work contributed to public-facing activities that sought to increase understanding and awareness of Autism Spectrum Condition while foregrounding the creative voices and lived experiences of participants.
